Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) and proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience interpreting within school settings is strongly preferred
- Ability to accurately interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and student interactions

- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language and lesson content into ASL for students during classroom instruction and school activities
- Accurately facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their teachers, classmates, and staff
- Support students’ access to curriculum, instructions, and school events to ensure an inclusive educational experience
- Contribute to student Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams, as needed
- Maintain documentation related to interpreting services and student progress
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions relevant to student support
