Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and expressive ASL interpreting for a deaf or hard-of-hearing middle school student during classroom instruction, small group activities, and daily routines
- Bridge communication between students, teachers, and staff to encourage active participation and understanding
- Work closely with educators and support staff to reinforce a fully accessible and inclusive academic experience
- Uphold standards of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
- EIPA Score of 4.0+ or hold equivalent state certification
- Previous experience interpreting in an educational, preferably middle school, environment
- Ability to complete onboarding and pass standard background checks
- Strong commitment to student advocacy and teamwork
