Qualifications:
- Valid 3.0 EIPA score or higher (required)
- Professional experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within educational settings
- Ability to work with DHH students across a range of age groups
- Proficient in both individual and group educational interpreting
- Must complete required fingerprinting clearance; previous prints from FL school districts may be transferable via the AHCA Clearinghouse
- Commitment to on-site work; virtual interpreting is not an option for this contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear, accurate American Sign Language interpretation for DHH students in classrooms and school activities
- Support academic and social inclusion for DHH students alongside teachers and support teams
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate cultural and linguistic sensitivity
- Adapt interpreting techniques to suit individual learner needs and classroom dynamics
