In this role, you’ll provide Sign Language Interpreter services during both the school year and summer sessions (ESY), supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. You’ll work closely with educational teams, gaining exposure to diverse workplace practices and leadership approaches.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience in educational settings, preferably K-12
- Commitment to supporting students with hearing impairments
- Flexibility and strong collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Interpreter Services during regular school year: 330 minutes daily (full day)
- Provide Hearing Itinerant Services: 100 minutes/week direct, 180 minutes/month consult
- Facilitate Interpreter Services for ESY (June 15, 2026 – July 24, 2026; Mon–Fri): 1100 minutes/week (full day)
- Offer Hearing Itinerant Services during ESY: 100 minutes/week direct, 75 minutes/month consult
