Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver interpreting services for a PreK student in various school settings, including classroom instruction, events, and meetings.
- Enable clear communication pathways between students, teachers, staff, and peers.
- Foster an inclusive educational atmosphere by supporting the student’s daily learning and social needs.
- Ensure compliance with student accommodation plans (IEPs) and all school policies.
- Partner with classroom teachers and special education staff to address and meet the unique needs of the student.
- Uphold strict professional standards, including confidentiality and ethical conduct.
Desired Qualifications:
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required).
- Valid Sign Language Interpreter certification/credentials.
- Prior experience in a school setting or with children is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
