Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) | Creswell, Oregon
Seeking skilled Sign Language Interpreters for a contract position providing vital support within school environments. This opportunity is close to Creswell, OR, with the primary location in the Eugene area. You’ll work mainly 1:1 with students, collaborating both independently and as part of a team that includes Deaf and Hard of Hearing specialists and classroom support staff. The position covers the same set of school buildings throughout the assignment, ensuring consistent relationships and routines.
Contract runs from August 24, 2026, through June 15, 2027, with full-time hours available. There are 1-2 openings left for dedicated professionals committed to providing outstanding service to students.
Ideal applicants will possess:
- Valid licensure/certification as a Sign Language Interpreter for schools as required by local and state guidelines
- IEPA test score higher than 3.5
- Completion of interpreter training program
- Previous experience in educational settings (preferred)
- Ability to effectively interpret in a 1:1 setting, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
