- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in educational settings
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and the assigned student
- Commitment to working onsite throughout the contract duration
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 sign language interpreting services to a designated student within a school environment
- Facilitate clear communication between the student, peers, and educators, adapting as needed to classroom activities
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams to support student success
- Monitor and document student progress relevant to communication needs
