Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter, with demonstrated experience in K-12 or adaptive classroom settings
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- Knowledge of, and sensitivity to, mobility challenges and differentiated learning environments
- Ability to provide comprehensive communication support services
- Professional, collaborative, and adaptable, with strong interpersonal skills
- Must be comfortable with a fully onsite assignment as requested by the student’s parents
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality sign language interpretation between the student, teachers, and classmates
- Facilitate the student’s academic and social participation in class activities
- Collaborate with special education staff to adapt communication as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards within the school community
- Ensure the student’s individual communication needs and preferences are prioritized daily
