Sign Language Interpreter in Easton, MD

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum score of 75% on the EIPA written exam and either a 4.0 EIPA performance score, or hold current NIC or RID certification
- Prior experience working in 1:1 and/or small group educational settings
- At least 2 years of recent experience as a sign language interpreter (preferred)
- Dedication to promoting accessibility and supporting student learning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, real-time sign language interpretation for assigned students
- Adapt communication approaches to fit student needs and classroom environments (elementary or high school)
- Collaborate with educators to ensure students can participate fully in both academic and extracurricular activities
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards in all assignments
