Key Qualifications:
- Completion of interpreter training program
- IEPA score above 3.5
- Current and valid licensure meeting all district requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing sign language interpretation in educational settings
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team
- Professional references available (required prior to interview)
- Commitment to the assignment dates: 8/24/26 – 6/15/27
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide clear, effective sign language interpretation for a student, mostly in 1:1 settings
- Work closely with DHH staff and additional classroom support to ensure full access to educational materials and experiences
- Maintain ongoing communication with the district and site staff to support student outcomes
- Adapt interpretation style and strategies to suit educational content and student needs
- Travel between the same set of assigned schools in the Eugene area to ensure continuity of service
