Sign Language Interpreter in Eugene, OR

Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Completion of interpreter training is required
- Score of 3.5 or higher on the IEPA (Interpreter Evaluation Performance Assessment)
- Experience in educational settings strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team
- Effective communication skills and a compassionate, student-centered approach
- All candidates must hold current, valid licensure and meet all testing and training requirements
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear, effective communication between students, educators, and staff using sign language
- Provide interpretation in various classroom settings and school events
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and foster positive relationships
- Collaborate with DHH educators and classroom support staff to promote access to curriculum
