Sign Language Interpreter in Ferndale, WA

Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience

- Prior experience interpreting in a school or educational environment strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt interpreting methods to fit various classroom demands and student needs
- Professionalism, reliability, and exceptional communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpreting for a high school student during classroom instruction, group activities, and school events
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure appropriate accommodations are met
- Assist in preparing materials or notes, supporting the student’s ongoing academic success
- Maintain documentation as needed and adhere to student privacy guidelines
- Support student participation in extracurricular activities as assigned
