Your role will focus on interpreting for elementary-aged students and staff, fostering accessibility and inclusion throughout daily activities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active SLI Certification is required
- Experience in school or educational settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and support personnel
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation for students, teachers, and school staff during classroom instruction and activities
- Ensure accurate and effective communication for students requiring language access
- Assist in bridging communication during parent meetings, assemblies, and extracurricular events when necessary
- Maintain documentation as required by the school
- Adapt interpreting methods to suit individual student needs and classroom environments
This contract offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, giving you a stable routine while making a meaningful difference in young lives. With a rate starting at $37+ per hour, your contributions are both valued and rewarded.
