Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) in Franklin, TN
ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and qualified Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for the 2026–2027 school year in Franklin, TN. This full-time opportunity allows you to provide essential interpreting and communication support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing while working alongside educators and school staff to ensure meaningful access to instruction and the educational environment.
This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students' communication, academic participation, and independence throughout the school day.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
30–35 Hours per Week
ASAP Start Date – End of May 2027
School-Based Setting
Student Age Group Based on Interpreter Preference
Qualifications:
Valid Educational ASL Interpreter License required
Experience providing educational interpreting services preferred
Strong ASL and English communication skills
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Ability to provide effective interpreting services in an educational setting
Ability to support students with varying communication and educational needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide ASL interpreting services throughout the school day
Facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing, teachers, staff, and peers
Provide interpreting support during classroom instruction and educational activities
Support students' access to academic content and participation in the school environment
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when providing interpreting services
Provide individualized support based on the student's communication needs
Student Assignment:
1–3 Students
