Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a current EIPA credential with a score of 3.5 or higher (required)
- Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in a school setting
- Familiarity with educational terminology and K-12 environments
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and activities for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Accurately convey spoken information through American Sign Language (ASL)
- Adapt interpreting style to student age and learning needs across grade levels
- Work alongside teachers and staff to support inclusive learning
- Serve as a communication bridge for meetings and school events as needed
