Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and Louisiana teacher certification in Hearing Impaired
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with hearing-impaired students in a mainstream setting
- Basic proficiency in sign language and strong communication abilities
- Experience with assistive hearing technology (hearing aids, cochlear implants, FM systems)
- Collaborative, adaptable, and organized professional style
- Proficiency with IEPs, progress notes, digital records, and reporting
- Fingerprint clearance and drug screening
Responsibilities:
- Deliver IEP-directed instruction for hearing-impaired students (ages and caseloads vary)
- Provide consultation and in-service training to teachers and staff
