Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience with VOCO (Virtual Online Communication Options) platforms is essential
- Ability to work full-time, 35 hours per week, following the Monday-Friday school calendar
- Valid EIPA score of 4.0 (must include the written) and inclusion on the Louisiana Interpreter Registry (LCDC Department of Health); RID or NIC credentials considered with written component complete
- Experience supporting high school age populations
- Strong communication, adaptability, and professionalism for a dynamic educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver real-time sign language interpreting services to high school students across one or more campuses (specific assignments to be determined)
- Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students, teachers, and staff in both general education and specialized settings
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure students’ educational goals are met
- Adhere to school policies and confidentiality standards
- Participate in meetings, IEP sessions, and relevant school events as needed
