Qualifications & Certifications:
- Minimum 4.0 EIPA Score and/or RID Certification required
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings highly preferred
- Exceptional command of American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interpret in both one-on-one and group instructional settings
- Demonstrated professionalism and adaptability within school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa during classroom instruction, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular activities
- Support students’ understanding of curriculum content, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and staff to address the unique needs of each student
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individual education plans as needed
