Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Norfolk, VA

Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification at VQAS Level 3 or higher, or EIPA score of 3.0 or above
- Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in school environments
- Proficiency in both ASL and English, with a strong grasp of interpreting ethics and confidentiality
- Professionalism and adaptability, especially in elementary education settings
- Commitment to consistent, on-site support—virtual interpreters will not be considered in this instance
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver real-time ASL interpretation for a kindergarten student during classroom activities, instruction, and school events
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure a positive and inclusive experience for the student
