We're seeking four dedicated Sign Language Interpreters to provide essential classroom support and facilitate communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing students, parents, and guardians for the upcoming school year, starting August 24, 2026, through June 11, 2027. Key Qualifications:
- 3.5 EIPA or VQAS Level III preferred; strong candidates who have passed the written EIPA exam but are still pursuing full certification are welcome for consideration
- Experience working in school settings offering interpretation services to K-12 students and their families
- Ability to support classroom learning, IEP meetings, and extracurricular activities
- Reliable, collaborative, and flexible, with a passion for supporting inclusive educational environments
- Must be available to work exclusively on campus (no remote or hybrid options)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver real-time ASL interpretation in classrooms during the school day, bridging communication between educators and students
- Provide interpretation during meetings for parents/guardians who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Support students during extracurricular activities, which may occasionally extend beyond standard school hours
- Act as part of a team alongside interpretation specialists and other school staff to enhance student success
- Adapt to assignments within multiple school sites as needed
