Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid licensure to practice as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Minimum ASLPI score of 4.1 required
- Experience working 1:1 with pediatric populations, preferably in educational environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, other interpreters, and families
- Strong commitment to supporting student inclusion and academic achievement
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate interpretation services for a designated pediatric student throughout the school day
- Facilitate communication between the student, their peers, and school staff in both instructional and non-instructional settings
- Adapt communication methods to suit the individual needs and age level of the student
- Support classroom participation, activities, and assignments to ensure student engagement
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
- Participate in meetings, planning sessions, and other school-based events as needed
