Step into a vital role supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing students as a full-time, onsite interpreter in Colorado for the 2026–2027 school year. Two openings are available for individuals ready to facilitate clear communication in academic and extracurricular settings. As a key member of an educational team, you will make a meaningful difference in students’ access to instruction, school activities, and peer interactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret classroom instruction, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular activities using American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Foster communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers.
  • Prepare for interpreting assignments by reviewing lesson materials as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to enhance student learning.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to FERPA and district guidelines.
  • Uphold high professional and ethical standards in all interpreting situations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Colorado Educational Interpreter Authorization or eligibility to obtain it.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Educational Interpreting, ASL, or related discipline.
  • Completion of the EIPA Written Examination.
  • EIPA Performance Score of 3.5+ or current RID Certification.
  • Ability to satisfy all Colorado Department of Education and district hiring requirements, including background checks.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

This is a full-time, onsite contract position that follows the district’s academic calendar (Monday–Friday).
