Working onsite in schools as a full-time interpreter, you’ll collaborate daily with dedicated educators and service providers, supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Key Qualifications:

  • Colorado Educational Interpreter Authorization or eligibility to obtain it
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Educational Interpreting, ASL, or related field
  • Passed the EIPA Written Exam
  • EIPA Performance Score of 3.5+ or current RID certification
  • Ability to meet all state and district employment requirements, including background screening
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ASL interpretation throughout the instructional day
  • Interpret classroom instruction, events, and extracurricular activities
  • Facilitate communication among students, teachers, staff, and peers
  • Maintain confidentiality according to FERPA and district guidelines
  • Collaborate with educational and support staff to advance student success
  • Prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant materials
  • Uphold professional and ethical standards for educational interpreting
