Key Qualifications:
- Colorado Educational Interpreter Authorization or eligibility to obtain.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Educational Interpreting, ASL, or related field.
- Successful completion of the EIPA Written Exam.
- EIPA Performance Score of 3.5+ or current RID Certification.
- Ability to meet all Colorado employment/background requirements.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver ASL interpretation for students during all aspects of the academic day.
- Interpret classroom instruction, assemblies, staff meetings, and extracurricular activities.
- Bridge communication between students, teachers, and staff.
- Prepare by reviewing instructional materials before assignments.
- Uphold FERPA and district confidentiality policies.
- Work collaboratively with educators and related service providers.
- Maintain professional interpretive standards and ethics.
