- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and students
- Relevant certification or credentials in Sign Language Interpretation as required by the state or district
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct interpretation services for an 8th-grade student, ensuring seamless communication during classroom instruction, group work, and school events
- Work closely with classroom teachers and special education teams to support academic goals and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Prepare for lessons or school activities to anticipate vocabulary, concepts, and potential communication challenges
- Facilitate clear and accurate exchange of information between the student and peers, teachers, and staff
