Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) | Schaumburg, Illinois

Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language
- EIPA score of 3.0 or higher
- Applied for or holding an active Professional Educator License (PEL) specific to interpreting in schools
- Prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings preferred
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and adaptability
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and clear interpretation between staff and student throughout the school day
- Facilitate communication in classroom, small group, and school-wide activities
- Collaborate with educators and related service providers to support student learning objectives
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical standards for educational interpreters
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to progress monitoring as needed
