In this role, you will deliver direct instruction to high school ASL students at levels 1 through 4, covering Career & Technical Education (CTE) courses. No traditional teaching certificate is required—just the minimum qualifications for a Conditional CTE Certificate, which the District will help you secure.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter or ASL instructor preferred
  • Meet minimum requirements for a Conditional CTE Certificate (support provided for application)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and facilitate ASL 1, 2, 3, and 4 CTE classes
  • Develop engaging and accessible lesson plans
  • Support student growth through differentiated instruction
  • Assess and document student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet educational objectives
