Position Type: 1099 Contract
Responsibilities include:
- Providing accurate and effective sign language interpretation for students, staff, and families within school settings.
- Facilitating communication during telehealth sessions, ensuring accessibility and clarity for all participants.
- Collaborating with educators, therapists, and healthcare providers to support individual student needs.
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethical standards in all interactions.
- Preparing for and adapting to diverse communication environments, including remote virtual platforms.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification or equivalent credentials preferred.
- Prior experience in educational or telehealth interpreting environments highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the unique challenges and best practices for telehealth interpretation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a contract capacity.
