Remote Sign Language Interpreter in SC

An opportunity is available for a Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services to support elementary or middle school students requiring one-on-one assistance. This full-time contract position offers a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, with an assignment beginning immediately and extending through May 28, 2027.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clear and effective sign language interpretation during telehealth sessions for elementary or middle school students
- Ensuring accurate communication between students and service providers to facilitate educational and therapeutic goals
- Collaborating with educators and therapists to support individualized learning plans
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
- Adhering to established protocols and best practices for telehealth service delivery
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and Certified Sign Language Interpreter credential preferred
- Experience interpreting for children in educational or clinical settings, especially elementary or middle school age groups
- Knowledge of telehealth platforms and virtual communication tools
- Ability to provide patient, clear, and sensitive interpretations in one-on-one settings
- Strong organizational and communication skills
