Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between students, staff, and other stakeholders using American Sign Language (ASL).
- Provide telehealth interpreting services to support remote learning and virtual meetings.
- Ensure accuracy and clarity in conveying messages during educational activities and consultations.
- Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to accommodate the needs of deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all interpreting assignments.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language with experience interpreting in educational environments.
- Familiarity with telehealth technology and remote interpreting protocols.
- Ability to interpret complex academic and medical terminology accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Relevant certification or training in sign language interpreting preferred.
