Remote Sign Language Interpreter – Alabama
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Sign Language Interpreter to provide virtual interpreting services to K–12 students in Alabama schools. This is a remote opportunity for an experienced interpreter who is passionate about supporting student communication access and collaborating with educational teams to help students succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities
- Provide virtual sign language interpreting services for students in educational settings
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Support student participation in classroom instruction and school-related activities
- Collaborate with special education teams and school staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and professionalism in all interactions
- Follow confidentiality and ethical interpreting standards
- Maintain compliance with state and district guidelines
Qualifications
- Active Alabama licensure/certification for Sign Language Interpreting, if required
- EIPA score or RID certification required
- Previous school-based interpreting experience preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Comfortable with virtual platforms and technology
- Strong communication and organizational skills
