Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced ability in American Sign Language
- Experience serving as a Language Facilitator, particularly with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Background working with students impacted by language deprivation
- Strong comprehension skills for written program plans, classroom materials, and instructional guidelines
- Commitment to maintaining required certifications, trainings, and approvals, with timely documentation
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and meet physical demands consistently
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and the ability to perform all aspects of the job on-site
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with teachers and educational staff to support student needs
- Monitor student understanding and deliver instructional or behavioral reinforcement as directed
- Teach new vocabulary, reinforce lessons, and guide students in using classroom communication skills and self-advocacy
- Support teachers and administrators in enhancing the classroom environment, while prioritizing effective language facilitation
- Complete additional assignments as directed by school administration
