1:1 Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Troy, New York

Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language
- ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher required
- Experience delivering sign language interpretation in school environments preferred
- Ability to serve as a compassionate, effective 1:1 interpreter for student support
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to various educational settings and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 interpretation services for assigned student(s) during classroom instruction and school activities
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Collaborate with educational teams to adapt materials and communication as needed
- Facilitate inclusive learning experiences and advocate for student needs
- Support student participation in educational and extracurricular activities
- Maintain documentation in line with school requirements
