Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and interpreting in educational settings
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in schools or with DHH students

- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Relevant certification or licensure as required for educational interpreters in Indiana
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one ASL interpretation and support for a DHH student, ensuring full participation in classroom activities
- Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers
- Assist educators in creating a more inclusive environment
- Adapt interpreting strategies to meet the specific learning needs of the student
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
