Desired Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or VQAS Level II/III
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language interpretation, specifically within the school setting
- Previous experience working in schools is preferred and valued
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
- Adaptable communication and organizational skills to work with students and staff of varying needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and effective interpretation services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students during classroom instruction, extracurricular activities, and school events
- Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and administrators to support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest ethical standards in all interpreted interactions
- Support an accessible and supportive learning environment for all learners
