What You'll Need:
- Possession of National Certification in Sign Language Interpretation
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
- Strong professionalism, reliability, and teamwork approach
- Previous experience in an educational or youth-centered setting is highly valued
- Excellent communication, flexibility, and organizational skills
In This Role, You Will:
- Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa for students, teachers, and staff
- Facilitate effective communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students across varied classroom activities
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to adapt instructional materials as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and abide by professional interpreting standards
- Contribute to a positive, respectful learning environment for everyone
Key Position Details:
- 32 hours per week split across Monday-Friday
- Service provided to a diverse group of students, supporting grades K-12
