As a full-time Sign Language Interpreter for students in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) classrooms ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade, you’ll serve one primary school—Palm Springs MS, DD Eisenhower, Coral Reef ES, or Western Pines MS—with a focus on adapting communication to meet your students’ varying needs.
Qualifications Desired:
- Level 3 or above on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)
- OR Certification by the National Association of the Deaf (NAD)
- OR Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) – CI/CT, CSC, NIC, NIC-A, or NIC-M
- Ability to submit a cold interpreting sample (instructions provided during hiring)
- Eligible for fingerprint clearance via Florida’s AHCA Clearinghouse
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction and interactions for DHH students (K-8)
