You will work one-on-one in a school environment, providing dedicated support to ensure every student has equal access to learning.
Key Qualifications:
- Holds a current license as a Sign Language Interpreter (ASL).
- Achieved an ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher.
- Comfortable and experienced working 1:1 with pediatric students.
- Able to work full time, on site, throughout the duration of the contract.
- Open to travel professionals eager to support schools in new communities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication between students and educational staff using American Sign Language, ensuring full participation and access to instruction.
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and extracurricular activities for a single assigned student, closely supporting their unique learning needs.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to help develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times in accordance with educational and professional standards.
