Make a difference in students’ lives as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting learners in an inclusive school environment. Multiple contract opportunities are available, providing essential interpreting services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in both high school and elementary/middle school settings. Collaborate directly with passionate educators while working consistently onsite within a supportive, mission-driven school community.

Open roles include:

  • Two interpreters for Kindergarten–8th grade students (35 hours/week, 8:15am–3:45pm, August 17th, 2026–May 28th, 2027)
  • One interpreter for 9th–12th grade students (35 hours/week, 8:00am–3:30pm, August 10th, 2026–May 20th, 2027)

What you’ll bring:

  • EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required, provide screenshot as verification)
  • Experience delivering sign language interpretation in school or youth-focused settings
  • Commitment to confidentiality and fostering a positive educational experience for all students
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with educational teams and families
  • Adaptability and dedication to student learning across a dynamic classroom environment

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing real-time sign language interpretation for classroom lessons, school events, and peer interactions
  • Supporting the communication needs of assigned students and adapting to class-size variance
  • Collaborating with teachers, specialists, and staff to ensure full access to curriculum
  • Maintaining accurate records and participating in IEP or team meetings as needed
  • Contributing to a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
