What we’re seeking:
- Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Expertise in American Sign Language (ASL), with a minimum ASLPI score of 4.1
- Previous experience supporting pediatric students in educational or therapeutic environments
- Strong skills in facilitating clear, accurate, and professional interpretation
- Dedication to working 1:1 to foster individualized communication and learning
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams, including teachers and support staff
Your key responsibilities:
- Provide real-time, high-quality sign language interpretation for a pediatric student during classroom instruction and school activities
- Adapt interpretation style to meet the specific needs and abilities of the student
- Support access to classroom content and interactions, ensuring full participation in educational opportunities
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions
