Qualifications:

  • Skills required: Proficient in Sign Language Interpretation in school settings.
  • Either a 3.5+ EIPA & ISBE certification, or a 3.0+ EIPA with ISBE approval.
  • Experience facilitating communication for Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing students is highly valued.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Sign Language Interpretation services:
    • Cary, IL (Middle School): Full time, 35 hours/week (7 hours/day)
    • Harvard, IL (High School): Part time, 20 hours/week (4 hours/day)
    • Aurora, IL (Elementary): Full time, 35 hours/week (7 hours/day)
  • Support students’ classroom participation and comprehension.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals.
  • Maintain compliance with educational standards and confidentiality requirements.
