Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) | Joliet, Illinois

Required Qualifications:
- Valid Sign Language Interpreter credentials
- Minimum 3.5 EIPA score with ISBE certification or 3.0+ EIPA with ISBE approval
- Strong knowledge of sign language interpretation techniques in educational settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students
- Professionalism, reliability, and clear communication skills
Role Details:
- Middle School, Cary, IL: Full time, 35 hours per week (7 hours per day)
- High School, Harvard, IL: Part time, 20 hours per week (4 hours per day)
- Elementary School, Aurora, IL: Full time, 35 hours per week (7 hours per day)
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, real-time sign language interpretation for students and staff during classroom instruction and school activities
- Support students’ understanding of lesson content and social interactions
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school district guidelines
- Serve as a communication bridge between teachers, students, and families as needed
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP discussions when required
