Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and interpreting in educational settings
- Current EIPA score of at least 3.5
- Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in schools preferred
- Ability to adapt communication to different student needs
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in classroom and school environments
- Translate classroom instruction, discussions, and student questions
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other interpreters to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records of interpreting sessions
