- Professional certification and state licensure (if applicable) for interpreting in educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate, confidential, and age-appropriate 1:1 sign language interpretation for a designated student throughout the school day
- Facilitate effective communication between student, teachers, peers, and school staff during classes, activities, and events
- Support comprehension, social integration, and learning outcomes according to student goals
- Maintain detailed documentation of interpreting services and participate in regular team meetings
- Adhere to school protocols and professional interpreting standards
