Qualifications:
- EIPA Score of 4.0 or higher, or RID/NAD Certification required
- At least 2 years of professional sign language interpreting experience preferred
- Previous experience working in educational settings or with school-age children is a plus
- Comfortable interpreting for a range of grade levels (K-5, 6-8, 9-12)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with educators and staff
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and student privacy
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality 1:1 sign language interpretation for students in a school setting
- Support classroom instruction and provide access to school-related activities
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to maximize student participation
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
- Adapt interpreting style to various subjects, age groups, and individual student needs
