Qualifications and Experience:
- Active sign language interpreter license required
- ASLPI score of 4.1 or above—proficiency is essential
- Experience delivering 1:1 support for pediatric clients in school settings
- Previous work in educational or pediatric environments highly valued
- Ability to foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, one-on-one sign language interpretation for assigned student(s) throughout the school day
- Accurately facilitate communication between students, peers, and staff
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and family members to support student learning and engagement
- Advocate for students’ communication needs and promote an accessible classroom environment
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and documentation as required
