Key Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement (State/Discipline required)
- Proven proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience interpreting for students, especially those who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH, TDHH), is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with both students and staff
- Flexibility to work across potentially multiple school sites throughout the assignment
Position Details & Responsibilities:
- 32.5 hours per week during regular school hours
- Serve students ranging in grade level—specific assignments and sites to be determined (satellite program anticipated)
- Provide accurate, supportive interpreting services within classrooms and school-related activities
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers
- Adapt quickly to various learning environments and student needs
- Maintain confidentiality and foster a positive, inclusive educational atmosphere
