Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) | Des Plaines, Illinois

Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)

- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation for students and staff during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events
- Facilitate communication among students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and support personnel
- Collaborate with educational staff to support individual learning needs and promote accessibility
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insight to student progress when required
