Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid 3.0+ EIPA score
- Completion of fingerprinting per Florida school district criteria (with potential transfer via AHCA Clearinghouse)
- Eligibility and ability to obtain a JLA badge (additional credentialing step upon orientation)
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and experience interpreting in educational settings
- Previous experience with school-aged children, especially at the elementary level
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver sign language interpretation for DHH students (1:1 and groups) at a dynamic elementary campus
- Collaborate with education staff to support classroom communication
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical interpreter standards
