Immediate openings include:
- Full-time role at John Powers Center in Vernon Hills (Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm, through May 28, 2027).
- Part-time position at Grayslake North High School (Monday–Friday, 8am–12pm, through May 20, 2027).
Qualifications:
- Valid EIPA score 3.5+ with ISBE Approval, or EIPA 3.0–3.4 with interim ISBE Approval
- BEI, ISAS, CI/CT, or NIC credentials considered with ISBE Approval
- Prior experience as a school-based Sign Language Interpreter preferred
- Current status to work onsite within school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person sign language interpretation for students and staff in school settings
- Facilitate effective communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and the school community
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and educational teams to ensure equitable access
- Uphold professional and ethical standards unique to educational interpreting
